The venue was magical. A very old cultural center tucked down a narrow alley. Lots of intricately carved wood and intimate lighting. I arrived an hour before the performance and watched 3 men silently transform themselves with paint and costume. I felt an uncanny presence in this old theatre. I was pretty sure that David Cameron was hanging around in some form or another.
The performance was wonderful. Colourful and full of expression and gesture. The actors and the musicians were in absolute harmony.
This little venue became a favourite haunt for me during my stay in Fort Cochi.
